Unsolicited semi-personal factamazoid post, issue number one
CDs currently on my CD changer (literally on it, as in sitting on top of it): Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Charles Mingus, Eric Dolphy, John Coltrane, Sun Ra. When did I become a goddamn jazzbo?

Mid 20th century jazz is so mid zeroes, dewwd. IN addition to opening cheese shops, now all the former punk rock types have gotten over that jazz and are discovering "gypsy music," which is another way of saying "Django Rhinehardt and a bunch of nobodies whose names I can impress you with." And by ""you"" I mean
nobody."
Are you telling me the Inuit music craze of 05-06 is over with now, too? What am I gonna do with all these mukluks?
The sweetest music to my ears right now would be the sound of a giant parrot upstairs having a fatal heart attack. Maybe I can start feeding it cigarettes and bacon under the door. Or maybe I can just consume those myself and have my own heart attack, which would solve a lot of problems. All of them, actually.
