All right, listen up, team (that's Colicky FC to you, buddy). The big show starts today. Everybody be sure to put on their World Cup. Because if the world takes a bad hop and hits you in the nutsack, it's going to really fucking hurt if you don't have some protection.
But seriously, folks, who you pulling for? I'm rooting for Côte d'Ivoire, which put its civil war on "pause" for the tournament. Or at least until it gets eliminated.

If they win the cup will the warring sides let bygones be bygones?
I'm sure that if that happens peace will break out all across and up and down the entire continent. Although I think it's more likely that the Chicago baseball Cubs will face (and defeat) the Kansas City, Missouri, baseball Royals in the World (not to mention Solar System, Milky Way, Known Universe) Series this year. Which would, however, only increase hostility between North Siders and South Siders.
